Capcom has revealed Resident Evil: Veronica, a remake of Resident Evil – Code: Veronica, and it’s launching next year, presumably on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. It was revealed during today’s Summer Game Fest showcase, and it follows Capcom’s most recent Resident Evil remake, 2023’s Resident Evil 4 remake.

The original Resident Evil – Code: Veronica is a bit of an in-between game that takes place after Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (but was released after Nemesis). It originally launched in 2000 and received the HD treatment in 2011. Given Capcom’s track record remaking its Resident Evil games of late, this remake wasn’t all that unexpected. But it’s still exciting nonetheless. And surprise: it looks gorgeous, like all of the other Resident Evil remakes.

Check it out in the Resident Evil: Veronica reveal trailer for yourself below:

Resident Evil: Veronica is due out sometime next year.
