The most exciting parts of any gaming showcase are the new game reveals, and today’s Xbox Partner Preview gave us exactly that with Moosa: Dirty Fate. Set in Feudal Korea, the game showcases intense third-person combat set against a bleak backdrop. Check out the reveal trailer below.

When a crop-killing famine spreads across Korea, its people are driven to cannibalism, while bandits raid and burn villages in the chaos. You play as the hero tasked with freeing the land, and given that the trailer’s narrator refers to you as “your majesty,” it sounds like you’re also a ruler of some kind.

The trailer shows off fast-paced, bloody combat, complete with terrifying monsters, crowds of foes, and and lots of parrying. According to the trailer’s YouTube description, the word “Moosa” refers to a master of martial arts. Based on the skills on display in the trailer, it seems like that refers to the protagonist, and if they play well enough, it ideally refers to the player, too.

Moosa: Dirty Fate is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2027, and will also be available on Game Pass.
