DJI has officially entered the 360° drone arena with the launch of the Avata 360. It’s the company’s first-ever fully immersive FPV drone, and a direct shot at the Antigravity A1, a rival built by an Insta360-incubated brand. Looks like the drone wars just got more interesting.

What makes the Avata 360 worth looking at?

Quite a lot. The Avata 360 is equipped with DJI’s 1-inch imaging sensor, capable of recording videos at up to 8K in 60fps, which is already one step ahead of the Antigravity A1, which maxes out at 8K at 30 fps. If that’s not enough, the drone can also capture 120MP pictures.

DJI’s latest drone features two switchable lenses, HDR video support, and omnidirectional obstacle sensing, along with integrated propeller guards, making it both capable and crash-resistant, which is quite reassuring, given that these things cost in today’s market.

On paper, DJI’s O4+ video transmission system gives the Avata 360 a transmission range of up to 12.4 miles, which is honestly more range than most people will ever need or think to utilize. It ships with DJI goggles and motion controllers for a fully immersive (and, not to mention, cool-looking) flight experience.

DJI Fly More Combo Avata.

How does it stack up against the competition?

Additional features include ActiveTrack 360, spotlight mode, intelligent tracking, one-tap editing, and a virtual gimbal that allows unlimited pan and tilt movements for cinematic shots.

Flight time sits at 23 minutes, just one minute shy of Antigravity A1’s 24 minutes, but the Avata 360 wins decisively on storage, packing 42GB internal storage versus 20GB on the A1.

Pricing for the DJI Avata 360 starts at €459 for the drone-only bundle, while the Fly More combo costs €939. Pre-orders are open now in Europe, while shipping begins April 26, 2026. Similar to DJI’s recent launches, the Avata 360 will be available via third-party retailers, including Amazon.
