Even as active noise canceling and transparency modes in earbuds get sharper, a lot of people still want something that lets them truly hear the world around them. Whether that’s for cycling, working out, or just walking the dog, the Anker Soundcore Aeroclip are our favorite pick for most people, and they’re currently marked down to just $110 on Amazon, a $60 break from the usual price.

Aeroclip

One of the most important factors in a pair of open earbuds is fit, and the Anker use a “memory titanium” insert, rated for up to 20,000 bends, that should keep these locked on all but the smallest of ears, with extra grips to help keep them secure. They aren’t quite as snug or flexible as the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds, but at less than half the price you’re getting a ton of value here, and they could act as a second pair of buds for when you need to stay alert. They use touch controls on the bow that holds the two pieces together, and you can customize them in the app. You’ll also find a true multiband equalizer, and multipoint pairing lets you swap between devices quickly.

Despite not actually going into your ear canal, the Aeroclip have a surprisingly adept sound profile, with good detail and brightness for the form factor. You’ll feel the biggest loss when it comes to the low end, since low frequencies really rely on good sound occlusion to come through. Of course, they still let you keep track of passing cars, yelling children, or barking dogs, for better or worse. That’s a trade-off that you may happily make to keep the Steely Dan rolling all day.

The Soundcore Aeroclip are available in four colors, and I spotted the same $60 discount on all of them, including Champagne Mist, Glacier Blue, Midnight, and Rosy Brown. If you’re curious about some our other picks for open earbuds, make sure to swing by our full roundup of all the best options. While there are more expensive picks on that list, there’s a reason the Aeroclip is at the top, and price is one of them.
