Your next retro mini PC can look like a classic PlayStation

Acemagic is tapping into the retro mini PC vibe with a new design that pulls from the Sega Dreamcast and the original PlayStation. It’s a small desktop that looks like it belongs on the same shelf as your old consoles, not hidden behind a monitor.

This wasn’t the only throwback on display at CES 2026. Acemagic also brought an NES-inspired mini PC, but the Dreamcast and PlayStation-styled model is the one tied to AMD’s latest platform.

If you’re already thinking about buying one, you’ll have to wait. Pricing and a launch date weren’t shared at CES, so for now it’s a look at the concept and the early spec sheet rather than a ready-to-shop product.

A tiny box with ports

The Dreamcast and PlayStation-inspired unit is called the Board 3 Dual-C Retro Style. It has two buttons on the top edge and a circular detail meant to mimic a top-loading disc drive, plus a dedicated power button up front.

The practical bit is the front strip with USB Type-A, USB Type-C, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. That’s the kind of layout that makes a living-room PC easier to live with, since quick plug-ins don’t require reaching around the back.

Gorgon Point brings the speed

Acemagic pairs the chassis with AMD’s Gorgon Point platform. TechPowerUp has reported a Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 with 12 cores and 24 threads, plus an embedded Radeon 890M iGPU with 16 compute units.

The company also lists up to 64GB of SO-DIMM memory and support for up to two 4TB M.2 PCIe 5.0 NVMe drives, depending on configuration. It puts the case at about 0.73 liters, with dimensions listed as 140 x 128 x 40.8 mm.

Price and timing are missing

Acemagic also showcased Intel Core Ultra 300 Panther Lake systems, but it didn’t give those the same retro treatment. This console-styled box is the one to watch if you want nostalgia and modern AMD silicon in the same package.

The next update that matters is simple. Wait for confirmed configurations, pricing, and a release window, then judge whether this retro mini PC is a fun centerpiece or just a good-looking spec list.
