Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 17T Pro in Europe and the U.K., alongside the standard Xiaomi 17T. The Pro model is the more powerful of the two, with a larger display, Leica-branded cameras, a bigger battery, and MediaTek’s new flagship chip.
A larger Leica-backed sensor leads the camera setup
The camera system is the main focus on the 17T Pro. Its triple rear camera setup is led by a 50MP Light Fusion 950 main sensor. This is a large 1/1.31-inch sensor with optical image stabilization and an f/1.67 Leica Summilux lens, which should help with low-light shots and capturing more detail.
Xiaomi has also added a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto camera with OIS, which supports 10x optical-grade zoom, likely through a sensor crop with image processing, and extends up to 120x with AI-assisted zoom. The same telephoto camera can also be used for macro shots from as close as 30cm.
The last camera on the back is a 12MP ultra-wide with an f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, the phone has a 32MP camera that’s capable of 4K video recording at 30fps. The primary camera can record 8K videos at 30fps and 4K videos at 60fps.
Xiaomi has also added Leica Live Moment, a feature similar to Live Photos that captures short motion clips around a still image. It works across all three rear cameras and supports Xiaomi’s Leica color profiles.
The rest of the package looks just as impressive
The Xiaomi 17T Pro uses a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The brand has also added its Vision Care display system, which adjusts for ambient light and manages blue light, flicker, and motion blur.

Inside, the phone runs on the 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It ships with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Another major highlight is the 7,000mAh battery, which supports 100W wired HyperCharge, 50W wireless charging, and 100W PPS charging.
The phone comes in Deep Blue, Deep Violet, and Black. Prices start at €899.90/£799 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version. The 512GB model costs €999.90/£849, while the 1TB version is priced at €1,099.90/£949. At this price, the Xiaomi 17T Pro competes directly with the iPhone 17, while offering a larger battery, faster charging, and a feature-packed Leica camera system.
