YouTube TV is making major moves to win over subscribers. After announcing plans to roll out new genre-specific bundles in 2026 that will let users tailor their subscriptions and potentially cut monthly costs, the platform is now offering new subscribers a longer trial period and a hefty discount for the first two months.
Typically, YouTube TV offers a 7-day free trial, after which subscribers pay $82.99 per month for the streaming service. Under the new promotion, subscribers can enjoy a 10-day free trial and pay just $59.99 per month for the first two months.
According to 9to5Google, this promotion is already live in the US, and those interested in trying out the service can sign up directly through the YouTube TV website. However, there are a few important details to keep in mind before you share you credit card info.
What you need to know before signing up
As per Google’s terms and conditions, the 10-day free trial promo is not available to existing or former YouTube TV subscribers, or to anyone who has signed up for a free trial in the past. Eligible users are required to share a valid form of payment during setup, and they will be charged the discounted $59.99 monthly rate for the YouTube TV base plan only after the trial period ends.
Once the two-month promotion period concludes, subscribers will automatically be switched to the full price for the third month. Those who don’t want to continue at the regular rate can cancel their subscription before the billing cycle renews. Interested users can claim the offer until March 17, 2026.
The extended trial period and discounted pricing for the first two months give potential subscribers a risk-free way to see if YouTube TV is a good fit. With the new genre-specific plans on the horizon, it also gives users an opportunity to explore the content and decide which channels or upcoming bundles would best suit their needs.
