Want softer Switch 2 controllers? Nintendo’s new Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 colors are next

Nintendo is adding new Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 colors, and it’s the first time the controller line has expanded since the console launched. The new pair comes in Light Purple and Light Green, a pastel combo that stands out against the Switch 2’s darker look without leaning into loud primary colors.

Nintendo says the controllers arrive February 12, 2026. Pricing is set at $99.99 in the US and £74.99 in the UK, so you can quickly sanity check whether it fits your accessory budget before you start hunting for stock.

The reveal showed up through the Nintendo Today app, then the controllers appeared on Nintendo’s store pages. If you’ve been waiting for anything other than the default red and blue vibe, this is the first official sign that more variety is on the way.

Release date, price, preorder status

If you’re in the US, the set is listed at $99.99 and orders are already open on Nintendo’s website. If you want the color, ordering early is the safest path to landing it around launch.

In the UK, Nintendo lists the same pair at £74.99, but the store page is currently sold out. That doesn’t mean it’s gone for good, but it does mean you’ll probably need to watch for restocks.

A softer look for Switch 2

Light Purple and Light Green feel like a deliberate contrast play. The Switch 2 hardware leans dark and clean, so lighter controllers will read immediately on a desk, in a docked setup, or in photos.

It’s also a shift in tone. These colors are calmer than the classic red and blue pairing, which can make them easier to match with cases, grips, and travel gear you already own.

What to do if you want them

If you know you want this specific combo, treat it like a limited early run even if Nintendo hasn’t called it one. In the US, ordering now should reduce the chance you miss the first wave.

If you’re buying in the UK, you’ll likely be playing the refresh game. Check the product page periodically as February 12, 2026 gets closer, and be ready to move when it flips back to available.

Either way, this drop reads like the start of a broader rollout. If the pastel pair sells through quickly, more Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 colors could follow soon. And if you’re in the market for more accessories, check out the best accessories for Switch 2 out today.
