Everyone is talking about Amazon’s October Prime Day. Good deals or not—maybe you don’t want to shop at Amazon for whatever reason. Plenty of other stores, big and small, are hosting sales alongside Amazon this week. Everything below is hand-tested by WIRED, and doesn’t have to be purchased on Amazon. You do you.

Apple AirPods 3 for $179 at Best Buy: If you want the best wireless earbuds for iPhone, you want the AirPods Pro 3. They have great noise cancellation and even built-in heart rate sensing and live translation.

AirPods Max 2 for $429: These are on sale for just $30 more than their lowest price ever, being price-matched at Walmart to match Amazon. The AirPods Max 2 are still pricey, with less battery life and software features than we’d like. But there’s no denying that they’re stylish, and the sound quality isn’t bad either.
Kindle Scribe Colorsoft

Kindle Scribe Colorsoft for $520: This latest Kindle is being price-matched at Best Buy. It has an impressive 11-inch color display and can double as a digital notebook thanks to the included stylus. Unlike the Kindles you may have had in the past, this one is more of a do-it-all tablet than just a conventional e-reader. A new Kindle Colorsoft was just announced (and not yet available), but this deep discount makes it a great buy right now.
Sonos Beam Gen 2

Sonos Beam Gen 2 for $359: It’s a few years old, but we’ve never seen the Sonos Beam Gen 2 drop to prices this low. These have been personally tested by our own audio expert, Harry Rabinowitz, who has complimented its excellent sound quality and compact footprint. And fortunately, Sonos has matched the Amazon discount, giving you another buying option. Walmart is selling it for the same price as well. —Luke Larsen

Furbo 360 Dog Camera for $54: Here’s one of the few deals this week where the first-party retailer is cheaper than Amazon’s Prime Day sale. This Furbo dog camera impressed our resident pet pro, Molly Higgins, who appreciated its full-color night-vision, two-way communication, and ability to pan in a full 360 degrees. It can even auto-track your pet around the room—and most importantly—dispense treats. —Luke Larsen

Stanley The Quencer H2.0 for $45: I love this water bottle. It’s sitting next to me right now! It keeps drinks icy cold all day, and it has stayed colorfast, you should hand-wash it if possible to preserve the finish. I like the large capacity too since I don’t have to refill it as often. It’s half-off on Shop, a great deal compared to what we usually see.
Quince Premium Down Comforter

Quince Premium Down Comforter for $164: This down comforter keeps me warm year-round and plenty toasty in winter. It’s fluffy and warm, with a cozy shell that never lets any feathers poke through. It isn’t very heavy, but it is very good at insulating you.
