Capcom has revealed that Monster Hunter Wilds, which launched last February, is getting an expansion next year. Titled “Ascendance,” it brings hunters to a brand new region set somewhere in the skies amongst the clouds and various floating islands, and it will launch next year.
The developer specifically calls it a “massive expansion,” signaling that it will likely be as large as previous mainline Monster Hunter expansion installments, like Monster Hunter World’s Iceborn. As you might expect, Ascendance will feature all manner of new monsters to take on, from wyverns to other deadly beasts and more.

As you can see, there’s no official release date for Ascendance yet, but we do know it’s launching next year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
