SwitchBot’s new MindClip is another device aiming to change how you take notes

AI note-taking devices are quickly emerging as the latest trend in consumer tech, with a growing number of manufacturers rolling out products in unique form factors. Pebble recently jumped on the bandwagon with its Index 01 smart ring, which not only allows users to take notes but also set reminders, create calendar events, or perform custom actions like controlling music playback, taking a photo, or triggering a smart home command. Now, SwitchBot has joined the fray with its AI MindClip.

Showcased at the ongoing CES 2026 trade show in Las Vegas, the SwitchBot AI MindClip looks a lot like Anker’s Soundcore Work and offers similar functionality. It’s essentially a wearable microphone that attaches to your collar or lapel and lets you take notes hands-free. SwitchBot says that the MindClip can function as a “second brain,” allowing you to record voice notes, conversations, or meetings into an audio database.

The MindClip uses AI to convert these recordings into summaries or create to-do lists. You can even retrieve past discussions, reminders, or learning materials using voice commands, or ask questions related to the recordings. These features require a subscription to SwitchBot’s cloud AI service, though the company has yet to reveal everything it entails.

SwitchBot’s MindClip already has some serious competition

The SwitchBot AI MindClip weighs 18 grams, making it slightly heavier than the Anker Soundcore Work. It supports over 100 languages, giving it a leg up over Plaud’s NotePin, which only supports 59 languages.

So far, SwitchBot has not shared pricing or availability details for the MindClip or its cloud AI subscription service. The company hasn’t outlined the pin’s complete capabilities either, so we’ll have to wait until its official launch to see how it stacks up against the competition.
