Star Wars Zero Company, the single-player turn-based tactics game coming from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor developer Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor, launches this August. More specifically, it will launch on August 27 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, narrowly avoiding the September onslaught of games, which includes Game Informer cover story game The Blood of Dawnwalker, Marvel’s Wolverine, Control: Resonant, and more.

This release date was revealed in a new gameplay trailer that aired during the Summer Game Fest livestream today, giving us our best (and first real) look at the latest Star Wars game yet. It also gave us our first look at Anakin Skywalker in the game. Considering Bit Reactor, which is a studio formed by industry veterans who worked on XCOM and more, is one of the primary developers behind it, it’s no surprise that it looks like an exciting tactics adventure in the beloved science-fantasy universe.

Check it out for yourself below in the Star Wars Zero Company release date trailer:

In Star Wars Zero Company, players control Hawks, a former Republic officer, who commands a ragtag group of mercenaries and bounty hunters from across the Clone Wars-era galaxy to combat a dangerous new threat. Hawks’ class and appearance are fully customizable, and the teammates you recruit will come in the form of classic Star Wars characters, including Clone Troopers, astromechs, Jedi, and more. And yes, the teammates can be customized, too.

Player choice will shape both the narrative and gameplay, as you increase bonds between squadmates to unlock new abilities and powerful synergies. Outside of combat, you can build a base and send out intelligence informants to learn your enemy’s plans and more.

Again, Star Wars Zero Company hits PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on August 27, 2026.

In the meantime, check out these screenshots from Star Wars Celebration Japan, and then check out the original Star Wars Zero Company reveal trailer.
