Silver Surfer And Beta Ray Bill Join Marvel Cosmic Invasion Roster

Marvel Cosmic Invasion, the upcoming co-op tag team beat ‘em up by the makers of TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, has two new heroes joining the playable roster: Silver Surfer and Beta Ray Bill.  The news was announced yesterday during San Diego Comic-Con.

The Silver Surfer made his comic debut in Fantastic Four in the 1960s and is best known as the former long-time herald of the planet-eating Galactus (a female version appears in the new film The Fantastic Four: First Steps). He wields the Power Cosmic to battle enemies across the galaxy atop his signature board. In-game, he can stun enemies using his powers and incorporates his board into his melee combos.

Beta Ray Bill has been a mainstay in Thor comics since the early ‘80s. This half-cyborg, half-Korbinite is a faithful ally of Thor and uses his hammer, Stormbreaker, to smash foes. You can see him and the Silver Surfer in action in the game’s new trailer below.

Additionally, it was also revealed that Marvel Cosmic Invasion features a full voice cast for the currently revealed characters. The voice roster features a who’s who of notable stars, some of whom have prior experience voicing Marvel characters.

Brian Bloom (Captain America, Silver Surfer)
Steve Blum (Venom, Beta Ray Bill)
Trevor Devall (Rocket Raccoon)
Cal Dodd (Wolverine)
Josh Keaton (Spider-Man)
Matt Mercer (Nova, Annihilus)
Aileen Mythen (Phyla-Vell)
Elysia Rotaru (She-Hulk)
Alison Sealy-Smith (Storm)

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is slated to launch later this year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. We played the game last month during Summer Game Fest, and you can read our hands-on preview here. You can also keep track of every noteworthy superhero game on the horizon in this handy list.
