Shokz OpenRun Pro drop to .99 and can still arrive before Christmas

Holiday crunch time is here, and there aren’t many tech gifts left that you can still order with comfortable delivery before Christmas. The Shokz OpenRun Pro are one of the better last-minute picks: they are down to $99.99 (save $60 off the usual $159.99) and, at the time of writing, still show delivery in time for December 25. If you’re shopping for a runner, cyclist, commuter, or just someone who doesn’t like fully sealed earbuds, this is an easy “add to cart” gift that looks thoughtful without blowing the budget.

What you’re getting

The OpenRun Pro are bone conduction, open-ear headphones, which means nothing actually goes inside your ear canal. The transducers sit just in front of your ears and send sound through your cheekbones while keeping your ears open to the outside world. For outdoor workouts, that matters a lot: you can hear traffic, people, and announcements while still enjoying music, podcasts, or GPS prompts.

These are built for training first and everything else second. You get a light, flexible titanium frame that hugs your head without hot spots, an IP55 rating for sweat and rain, and battery life of up to around 10 hours on a charge, plus quick-charge support for “I forgot to plug them in” moments. Dual noise-canceling mics help with taking calls, and Bluetooth makes them just as useful for commuting or working from home as they are for long runs.

Why it’s worth it

Open-ear designs can feel like a niche product until you try them. For runners and cyclists, they solve a real safety problem: staying aware of your surroundings without having to ride the volume or keep pulling one earbud out. The OpenRun Pro are one of the most polished takes on that idea, with a secure fit that does not bounce around and audio that is surprisingly full for a bone conduction design.

At the regular $159.99 price, they are a “maybe later” purchase for a lot of people, especially if they already own a set of generic wireless earbuds. At $99.99, the equation changes. You’re paying mid-range earbud money for something that is purpose-built for outdoor training and solves problems that sealed earbuds simply cannot. As a gift, they also feel more special than yet another pair of basic buds, especially for someone who is serious about running or fitness.

The other big plus is timing. With Christmas only two days away and many items slipping into “arrives after the holiday” territory, it’s rare to find a deal that still checks the boxes on price, usefulness, and shipping window. This one does.

The bottom line

If you need a last-minute fitness-friendly tech gift that’s actually likely to get used, the Shokz OpenRun Pro at $99.99 are hard to argue with. They keep workouts safer, stay comfortable for long sessions, and are still showing delivery before Christmas, which is more than you can say for a lot of deals right now.
