Samsung’s massive Odyssey Neo G9 just got a huge price cut

If a normal ultrawide feels cramped, this is the upgrade you’ve been waiting for. The Samsung 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 (G95NC) is on sale for $1,449.99, down from $2,299.99, which means you are saving about $850 on one of the most over-the-top gaming displays you can buy. You get a dual-4K canvas, a 240 Hz refresh rate, and Mini-LED backlighting in a single 1000R curved panel that basically replaces a two-monitor setup in one shot.

What you’re getting

The Odyssey Neo G9 is a 57-inch, 32:9 “dual 4K” monitor with a native resolution of 7680 x 2160, so it’s effectively two 4K monitors stitched together with no bezel in the middle. The aggressive 1000R curve wraps around your field of view, which makes racing games, flight sims, and big RPGs feel more immersive than any flat panel can manage.

Under the hood is a Quantum Mini-LED backlight with DisplayHDR 1000 support, giving you much better contrast and brightness control than a standard edge-lit panel. Highlights can get properly bright while dark scenes stay in the deep black zone instead of washing out. You also get AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, a 240 Hz refresh rate, and 1 ms response time, which is exactly what you want for fast shooters and competitive play.

Connectivity is up to date, with DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI, plus USB and a height, tilt, and swivel adjustable stand so you can actually position this monster comfortably on a real desk.

Why it’s worth it

At full price, the Neo G9 is very much a luxury piece of hardware. At $1,449.99, it still is not cheap, but it finally feels aligned with what you are getting: a monitor that can replace a dual display setup for work and then turn into a wraparound gaming screen at night. If you spend your day with multiple windows open, the extra horizontal real estate is genuinely useful, not just flashy.

For gaming, that dual-4K 240 Hz combo is still rare. Paired with a powerful GPU, you can play at wide resolutions with high frame rates and tear-free motion, and the curve makes it easier on your eyes compared to trying to track action across two separate panels.

The bottom line

If you’ve been looking for a true “buy it once and keep it for years” centerpiece for a high-end PC setup, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57-inch at $1,449.99 is one of the most compelling big-screen gaming deals running right now. It is expensive, but the current 37% discount takes it from pure indulgence to something a lot easier to justify if you want a single display that can do almost everything.
