Samsung has scheduled a Galaxy Event for August 27, and nearly everything about the announcement points to the Galaxy S26 FE, even though the company has not said so directly.

What Samsung’s invitation confirms

Samsung’s official invitation describes the event as an introduction to “the newest addition to the Galaxy S26 family.” While it doesn’t explicitly name the Galaxy S26 FE, it says the device is “purposefully designed to bring the core Galaxy S26 experiences from camera to AI, along with the latest One UI, to those who look for what truly matters most to them.”

This is as clear an indication as any that the device in question is the Fan Edition variant of Samsung’s flagship lineup, which is expected to offer core flagship features from the pricier trio at a more affordable price point. Samsung followed a similar approach last year, teasing the Galaxy S25 FE without naming it before the reveal.

The invitation states that the company will livestream the launch on August 27 at 9 PM KST (5 AM PT/8 AM ET) on Samsung’s website and YouTube channel.

The teaser matches months of leaks

Samsung has also shared a teaser on YouTube that includes a more pointed hint. It carries the tagline “Welcome to Galaxy S” and shows three drinks arranged on a pill-shaped platter, a layout that mirrors the triple-camera housing that has shown up across recent Galaxy S26 FE leaks.

That camera design has been consistent across multiple leaks. Leakers have pointed to a pill-shaped module raised above the back panel, a visual break from the individually protruding lenses on the Galaxy S25 FE. Other leaked specs include a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, an Exynos 2500 chipset, a 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging, and One UI 9.

Samsung has not confirmed pricing or a release date yet. But with leaks having revealed pretty much everything about the Galaxy S26 FE, those two details may be the only real news left for the August 27 event.
