More Samsung Micro RGB TVs are coming in 2026, and they might be easier on your wallet

Samsung debuted its Micro RGB display tech earlier this year with a massive 115-inch TV. Launched in its home market of South Korea, this model features a 4K 144Hz LCD-based panel with a micro-sized RGB color backlight. However, it’s priced at around $30,000, putting it well beyond the reach of the average consumer. Samsung now plans to bring this new technology to a wider audience by expanding the Micro RGB range to more sizes starting next year.

Samsung has announced that it will expand its Micro RGB TV lineup in 2026 and offer models with 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch, 100-inch, and 115-inch displays. The company will first showcase these TVs during the CES 2026 trade show in January, with sales expected to follow later in the year.

What sets these TVs apart is their backlighting technology. Instead of relying on conventional white or blue LEDs paired with color filters, Micro RGB tech (not to be confused with MicroLED) uses sub-100 μm red, green, and blue LEDs that can be independently controlled for more precise backlight performance and improved color accuracy. Combined with Samsung’s 4K AI Upscaling Pro and AI Motion Enhancer Pro technologies, Micro RGB promises better brightness, smoother motion, and enhanced clarity.

Samsung says the 2026 Micro RGB TV lineup will also feature other advanced features and enhancements to further improve picture quality, including a next-gen AI chipset that “enables more precise frame-by-frame clarity and realism.” The TVs will be certified to cover 100% of the BT.2020 wide color gamut and feature Samsung’s proprietary Glare Free technology to reduce reflections in bright rooms.

Pricing for the new Micro RGB TVs is still under wraps

As for audio, the Micro RGB TVs will offer an immersive experience with support for Dolby Atmos, Adaptive Sound Pro, and Q-Symphony. Samsung has yet to reveal pricing information, but the smaller-screen models are expected to be more affordably priced than the 115-inch Micro RGB TV. More details should be revealed at CES 2026 in Las Vegas in January.

Samsung won’t be the only company showcasing Micro RGB TVs at CES. LG has already confirmed it will showcase a new premium LCD TV with a Micro RGB backlight at the trade show, along with new OLED TVs and monitors.
