Celebrity partnerships are everywhere right now. Whoop has Cristiano Ronaldo. Beats teamed up with Kim Kardashian. Google signed NBA star Stephen Curry for Fitbit campaigns. Now Meta is joining the trend, and it is doing so with a product that could play a major role in its AI ambitions.

Meta has officially unveiled Meta Glasses, the company’s first smart glasses developed directly with eyewear giant EssilorLuxottica without relying on established brands such as Ray-Ban or Oakley. Unlike previous Meta wearables, the new glasses prominently carry Meta branding and introduce a celebrity-designed edition created in collaboration with internet personality Kylie Jenner.

The launch marks a significant moment for Meta’s wearable strategy as the company pushes beyond smartphones and attempts to make AI-powered glasses a mainstream product category.

Kylie Jenner edition headlines Meta’s new smart glasses lineup

The new Meta Glasses lineup arrives in three styles: Kylie, Adventurer, and Fury. The Kylie model has been designed in collaboration with Kylie Jenner and is positioned as the fashion-forward option in the range. Meanwhile, the Adventurer and Fury variants target users looking for a more traditional smart glasses experience.

Beyond the celebrity connection, the biggest upgrade is under the hood. Meta Glasses become the first wearable devices to run MuseSpark AI, Meta’s next-generation artificial intelligence platform.

Until now, Meta’s smart glasses have relied on Meta AI. MuseSpark AI promises more advanced capabilities, including better contextual awareness, improved visual recognition, smarter recommendations, and more natural interactions.

According to Meta, the upgraded AI can provide richer responses to questions, better understand what users are looking at, offer recommendations for nearby restaurants and attractions, track sports scores, and help manage daily tasks through voice commands.

The company says MuseSpark AI will also roll out to existing Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta smart glasses, bringing the enhanced assistant experience to current users.

Pricing starts from $399

The launch highlights Meta’s growing belief that smart glasses could eventually become the next major computing platform. The glasses feature integrated cameras, microphones, speakers, and AI capabilities, allowing users to take photos, record videos, listen to music, make calls, and interact with the AI assistant without reaching for their phones.

Meta believes this hands-free approach could make AI more useful in everyday situations, particularly as generative AI becomes increasingly capable of understanding visual information and real-world context.

The new Meta Glasses will be available in select global markets beginning later this summer. Pricing starts at $399 for the Adventurer and Fury models, while the limited-edition Meta Glasses by Kylie will retail for $549.

The launch also reflects Meta’s broader effort to compete with rivals including Apple, Google, and Snap, all of which are investing heavily in wearable technology and AI-powered devices.

For Meta, the goal is clear. The company does not just want AI on your phone. It wants AI sitting directly in front of your eyes.
