Hisense‘s new CanvasTV lineup for 2026 arrives with a simple but unique idea, which is that your TV shouldn’t dominate your living space. Unlike your typical television, the CanvasTV can transform into a piece of wall art with its Art Mode, which displays paintings or personal photos when idle.

The CanvasTV S7SG series was just announced in the US, releasing as the successor to the original S7N line.

What makes it stand out?

Thanks to its ultra-slim wall mount, the TV can sit flush against the wall, which adds to its framed painting look. But it’s not all about the looks, as many of the solid display specs make a return.

Combined with a matte anti-glare panel, the effect is meant to feel closer to an actual canvas than a traditional TV. While the design is the highlight here, the QLED panel offers 4K resolution, Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ support, and much more. It was announced in multiple screen sizes, which include 50 inches, 55 inches, 65 inches, 75 inches, and 85 inches variants.

You also get access to various gaming features like VRR, ALLM, and AMD’s FreeSync Premium support. Hisense’s new picture frame TV runs on Google TV, bringing support for various apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube, along with built-in voice controls.

What else do you get?

Smart TV, Hisense, CanvasTV

To double as a wall art, you get access to more than 1,000 artworks. There’s even a motion sensor, so the TV can automatically display these art pieces when someone enters the room. Other notable features include an integrated 2.0.2 audio system, four HDMI ports, USB 3.0, and USB 2.0.

As of right now, the pricing and availability details are still unknown. But it will likely cost over $1,200. If this sounds a little too steep, you can check out the older Hisense CanvasTV S7N, which is selling with a $350 discount right now.
