Eureka’s new smart vacuums bring premium floor care to everyday homes

As smart home technology matures, consumers are becoming more selective about where they choose to pay a premium for. In floor care, for example, features such as automation, improved hygiene, and easier maintenance are rapidly shifting from premium extras to everyday expectations. Yet price sensitivity remains high, particularly for households juggling children, pets, and busy schedules. With two new releases, Eureka is positioning itself squarely at that intersection.

The Eureka Z50 Robot Vacuum and the Eureka FloorShine 890 Wet/Dry Vacuum bring high-end features to the mid- and entry-level market. Backed by more than 115 years of vacuum engineering heritage, Eureka’s message is clear: smart, hygienic cleaning shouldn’t require a premium price tag.

Robot mopping that actually stays clean

One of the most common complaints about robot vacuums with mopping functions is cross-contamination. Too often, a dirty pad drags across the floor, spreading grime rather than removing it. The Eureka Z50 addresses this with its continuous fresh-water instant-washing roller system.

As the Z50 cleans, it continuously sprays clean water onto its roller mop, lifting dirt in a single pass through high roller speeds and strong floor pressure. Dirty water is immediately suctioned away, delivering results closer to fresh-water mopping than the familiar “wipe and smear” effect seen on many robot mops at this price point.

The Z50 is also designed with pet owners and parents in mind. Its dual anti-tangle system combines a staggered dual-claw side brush, using flexible anti-static bristles and centrifugal force, with dual counter-rotating rollers that actively pull hair into the vacuum. By preventing tangles, the system reduces clogs and keeps cleaning sessions running smoothly with minimal intervention.

Steam-powered hygiene without the premium price

For deeper, more hygienic cleaning, Eureka’s FloorShine 890 Wet/Dry Vacuum delivers steam technology at an accessible price. Designed for chemical-free sanitation, it combines hot-water washing and high-temperature steam with dual propulsion for easier maneuverability.

The FloorShine 890 delivers 194°F hot water through 20 spray holes, providing 360-degree coverage that melts away grease and ground-in dirt. A powerful boiler ensures a continuous supply of hot water without pauses or warm-up delays. When tougher stains demand more power, the system generates 320°F steam to quickly break down residue, making it suitable for everything from everyday spills to full-home refreshes.

Maintenance is simplified through a heated-water self-cleaning function. After use, the machine docks and flushes heated water deep into the brush bristles, cutting through grease and buildup without manual scrubbing, restoring performance for the next clean.

A more practical approach to smart cleaning

Together, the Z50 and FloorShine 890 reflect a broader shift in home technology toward more practical intelligence. They prioritize cleaner results, lower maintenance, and everyday usability, without pushing prices into premium territory.

By bringing features such as continuous fresh-water mopping and high-temperature steam to the mid-market, Eureka positions itself as a credible alternative to more expensive brands – and a sign of where everyday home cleaning technology is heading next.

You can visit Eureka during CES 2026 at The Venetian Expo, Las Vegas, Booth #51916. Learn more about Eureka’s latest cleaning technology here.
