Last week, From Software announced Elden Ring Nightreign would receive its 2-player Duo Expeditions today, July 30. This update has been delayed due to tsunami warnings in Japan caused by the earthquake on the Kamchatka Peninsula.

If you’re unaware, an 8.8 magnitude earthquake – one of the strongest ever recorded – hit the Kamchatka Peninsula in Eastern Russia yesterday (local US time). This has resulted in tsunami warnings for territories such as Russia, Japan, Hawaii, and the US West Coast, which have forced evacuations in several affected areas.

The Tokyo-based From Software is unsurprisingly affected and has posted a message on X stating,

“Due to the tsunami warning following the earthquake near the Kamchatka Peninsula, we have decided to postpone the distribution of the ‘ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN’ Patch 1.02, which was scheduled for today to tomorrow, July 31 (Thursday) after 10:00CEST | 1:00 PDT.”

The studio has also postponed the second cycle of Everdark Sovereign, scheduled to hit today. From Software has not provided a new date for these updates, but the safety of its employees comes first and foremost. Game Informer sends its well wishes to everyone affected by the earthquake.
