EcoFlow has launched four new portable power stations under its DELTA Gen4 and RIVER Gen4 series. And there is a rather interesting trick they can pull off when the battery runs out. All four models come with Emergency Power Mode, which keeps a small amount of electricity in reserve even when the battery indicator shows 0%. That’s enough to charge a phone or keep an emergency light running on the DELTA models during a power outage.
The lineup covers both ends of portable power needs. There are two high-capacity models for home backup, and two smaller ones for camping, road trips, and other outdoor activities.
What do the DELTA Gen4 models offer?
For starters, the DELTA 3000 Gen4 packs a 3,072Wh battery, while the DELTA 3800 Gen4 bumps that up to 3,763Wh. The larger model also supports additional batteries, taking its total capacity up to 12kWh. Both stations deliver 3,600W of continuous output and 7,200W of surge power, which is enough to run a bunch of household appliances, including refrigerators, microwaves, and electric heaters.
What’s more interesting is how little electricity the stations consume themselves. According to EcoFlow, they draw just 14W with AC enabled and no load, dropping to 3W in standby. Then there’s Fridge Runtime Boost, which cuts unnecessary consumption between cooling cycles. EcoFlow claims up to 58 hours of refrigerator runtime on the smaller model and 70 hours on the larger one.
What about the smaller RIVER Gen4?
The RIVER 260 Gen4 packs a 256Wh battery and 300W output, weighing just over six pounds. Next in line is the RIVER 520 Gen4, offering 512Wh capacity and 500W output in a 10-pound design. Both offer 140W bidirectional USB-C and fast charging. The smaller model can go from 0–80% in 42 minutes, while the RIVER 520 takes 50 minutes.
As far as availability goes, the DELTA 3000 Gen4 and DELTA 3800 Gen4 are already on sale in the US for introductory prices of $1,299 and $1,699. RIVER Gen4 pre-sales begin November 24, with pricing yet to be announced.
