Best Buy has plenty of laptops marked down for Labor Day, but the biggest percentage discount doesn’t always mean the best buy. I narrowed the sale to five models that offer a worthwhile mix of hardware, price, and usefulness without padding the list with weaker options.
ASUS TUF Gaming A16
The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 is $1,599.99 at Best Buy, saving $625 on its $2,224.99 comparable value. This 2026 model combines a Ryzen 9 8940HX with an RTX 5070, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. Digital Trends has covered the refreshed TUF lineup, and this is the pick for someone who wants serious gaming performance without moving into $2,000-plus territory.
Lenovo Yoga 7i 16-inch
Saving $450 brings the Lenovo Yoga 7i down to $749.99 from a $1,199.99 comparable value. Its Core Ultra 7 256V, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD are wrapped around a 16-inch 2K touchscreen that can fold into tablet mode. That makes it one of the more flexible options here for work, school, streaming, and everyday use.
HP OmniBook 3 16-inch
The HP OmniBook 3 hits a useful middle ground at $629.99, compared with a $979.99 comparable value. It pairs a Core Ultra 5 225U with 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a roomy 16-inch touchscreen. We’ve previously highlighted the OmniBook 3 as a practical option for students and everyday productivity, and the $350 discount makes that argument stronger.
Dell 15.6-inch touchscreen
This Dell relies on an older Core i7-1355U, but the Labor Day price helps compensate. Best Buy has it for $649.99, saving $450 from its $1,099.99 comparable value. You still get 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a touchscreen display, making it a straightforward productivity machine for buyers who care more about solid everyday hardware than the latest AI-focused processors.
ASUS Chromebook Plus CX34
At $379, the ASUS Chromebook Plus CX34 is the cheapest laptop in the lineup and one of the sharper discounts, down from a $729 comparable value. The Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage are plenty for ChromeOS. Digital Trends includes the CX34 among its recommended budget Chromebooks, making it an easy pick for browsing, schoolwork, and lighter everyday tasks.
