How to choose what to buy from Best Buy on Black Friday

Best Buy is home to just about everything you’ll read about in the Digital Trends archives. That means you can get stuff from the best gaming laptops to models from the best refrigerator brands all in the same place. As a result, it can be hard to parse everything. So, where should you start?

Best Buy tends to house higher-end laptops and monitors than you might find at your local Staples, for instance. And this tends to be a great place to start. While its sometimes advantageous to pop into your local Best Buy and tap the keys on the laptops and stare into the TV screens yourself, you can also check out our reviews on the top models here.

Then, you might also want to check out appliances, security devices, and even the best cameras that Best Buy has to offer, as you can often find great deals on these high-dollar products at Best Buy as well.

In short, we recommend starting with your basic electronic needs — laptops, monitors, desktops, consoles, TVs, etc. — and then taking a peek at higher dollar items. Alternatively, if you’re really in the market for a new fridge or robot vacuum, go ahead and start there.

How we chose these Best Buy Black Friday deals

The above Black Friday Best Buy deals are chosen from a place of having a lot of experience with both the products you like and the Best Buy digital store. We’ve found the best prices on a variety of categories of products that we know you’re looking for. There’s a lot to cover at Best Buy, certainly, and you might want to do your own looking if you have something specific in mind. However, generally speaking, the products above are going to get you started out on the right foot.

We’re also paying special attention to Best Buy events that are separate to official “Black Friday” deals. That’s one of the reasons we’ve started early this year — manufacturers have, too. Best Buy is big enough to pull their own stunts and events over the course of the holiday season, and we’ll be sure to be watching.
