The Mac mini has had a comfortable run as the go-to compact desktop for professionals who want serious performance in a small form factor and an affordable price.

Acer is making a direct play in that space with the Veriton RA110 AI Mini Workstation, a compact desktop that runs on AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, aimed at the same desk-bound professional who wants power without the tower.

What makes the Veriton RA110 worth paying attention to?

The key spec here is the processor: AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395. It brings a 50-plus TOPS neural processing engine alongside Radeon graphics (integrated), which, when combined, deliver enough power to run local AI models (up to 200 billion parameters, on-device).

That is a standout capability, especially for a machine this size. It positions the RA110 more in the emerging category of local AI inference desktops than conventional business PCs.

Acer equips the mini workstation with up to 128GB of LPDDR5X four-channel memory and up to 2TB of M.2 SSD storage, which gives it the headroom to handle large language models, 3D rendering, and video production without breaking a sweat.

Computer, Electronics, Pc

What else does it bring to the table?

The RA110 is a Copilot+ PC (thanks to the powerful NPU), with a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello biometrics. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and RJ45 Ethernet, with a Kensington lock slot in the chassis.

Acer also provides its Sense Pro software, which gives users real-time monitoring of CPU, GPU, memory, and thermals, alongside three performance modes: Silent, Balanced, and Performance.

Although Acer has not confirmed US pricing or a US release date, the product is currently listed on Acer’s regional website, and a US availability announcement is expected separately.
