Game Freak previously teased a game called Project Bloom, and during today’s Xbox Games Showcase, the Pokémon developer revealed the final title as Beast of Reincarnation. In addition to a multiplatform release, we also learned it will be on Xbox Game Pass at launch.

In this title, you step into the shoes of Emma the Sealer as you navigate a post-apocalyptic Japan. Along with her dog, Koo, she’ll work to find the source of corruption and save humanity from extinction. Beast of Reincarnation is directed by Kota Furushima, who worked on the battle system of Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon and Pokémon Sword & Shield, as well as the sound of Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

“It’s incredible to be working with game director Furushima-san and the renowned development team at Game Freak,” executive producer at publisher Fictions Mika Kurasawa said in a press release. “We are so excited to show players a glimpse into the stunning world and intense combat of Beast of Reincarnation.”

Beast of Reincarnation arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2026. You can see the full reveal trailer below.
