LG’s 34-Inch 240Hz Ultrawide Gaming Monitor Drops to $359.99 on Amazon

Ultrawide monitors are one of the easiest upgrades you can make if you want games to feel more immersive and your desktop to feel less cramped. The LG 34G630A-B UltraGear 34-inch curved gaming monitor hits that sweet spot, and it is currently on sale for $359.99, down from $499.99 on Amazon, a 28% discount on a very capable WQHD gaming display.

What You’re Getting

This is a 34-inch 21:9 curved WQHD panel with a 3440 x 1440 resolution, so you get a lot more horizontal real estate than a standard 16:9 screen. That extra width is great for racing games, RPGs, and sims, and it makes a big difference when you are jumping between chat, guides, and overlays on the same screen.

On the gaming side, it is built to keep up with fast action. You get a 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms (GtG) response time, along with AMD FreeSync Premium to cut down on tearing and stutter when your frame rate fluctuates. VESA DisplayHDR 400 and up to 95% DCI-P3 coverage bring better color and contrast than a basic SDR panel, and the built-in speakers are handy if you do not want to clutter your desk with separate desktop speakers. Connectivity includes HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB Type-C with power delivery, plus an ergonomic stand with height, tilt, and swivel adjustments.

Why It’s Worth It

At this price, you are getting a lot of the features usually reserved for more expensive ultrawides. A 240Hz WQHD ultrawide at under $400 is a solid deal on its own, especially from a major brand like LG that has a strong track record with gaming panels. The high refresh rate and 1ms response make it a good match for competitive shooters and fast-paced games, while the 34-inch curved 21:9 format shines for cinematic single-player titles and multitasking during the workday.

The USB-C input with display and power delivery also makes it more flexible. You can plug in a laptop with a single cable for both video and some charging, then swap over to your gaming PC or console on HDMI or DisplayPort when you are ready to play. Add in the adjustable stand, and you are looking at a monitor that fits well into both a gaming setup and a hybrid work desk.

At its $499.99 list price, it is a nice but not must-buy option. At $359.99, it becomes much easier to justify as a longer-term display upgrade that should serve you across multiple builds and consoles.

The Bottom Line

If you have been thinking about going ultrawide or replacing an older 60Hz or 144Hz monitor, the LG 34G630A-B 34 inch UltraGear WQHD curved gaming monitor at $359.99 is a well-balanced pick. You get a fast 240Hz panel, 21:9 immersion, FreeSync Premium, HDR, and USB-C in a tidy package that works for both games and everyday use.
